Upholding the reputation for being one of the most trusted brands in the cement industry, Penna Cement is committed to delivering its promise of manufacturing exceptional quality products. An ISO 9001:2008 company, Penna Cements products are of the highest quality from its four state-of-the-art plants strategically located in states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Our Product portfolio consists of Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC) and Portland Blast Furnace Slag Cement (PBFS).
PPC is a special blended cement as per BIS specification, IS: 1489, and is produced by inter-grinding Ordinary Portland Cement clinker with high quality processed fly ash along with gypsum. Due to its inherent characteristics, PPC aids in creating corrosion resistant concrete that is far superior to concrete made with OPC. The use of blended cement in concrete reduces crack formation, improves workability, inhibits sulphate attacks and reduces the heat of hydration. Moreover, its 28 days strength proves to be much better than OPC 53 Grade.
PSC is a slag-based blended cement as per BIS specification, IS: 455, and is manufactured by blending Ordinary Portland Cement clinker, and granulated slag and gypsum in suitable proportions. Usage of these elements not only contributes to making the quality superior but also encourages sustainable development. PSC is used extensively in mega constructions owing to the strength and durability it allows the structures.
OPC, produced mainly by grinding clinker and gypsum, is manufactured in two varieties at Penna Cement plants.
An Ordinary Portland Cement which has minimum 28 days strength of 530 Kg/CM2 (53 MPa) and is designed to meet all the specifications mentioned in BIS IS: 12269 (1987). Created from superior quality clinker & gypsum, Penna OPC 53 Grade provides high strength to structures because of its optimum particle size distribution, superior crystallised structure and balanced phase composition.
An Ordinary Portland Cement which has minimum 28 days strength of 430 Kg/CM2 (43 MPa) and meets all the specifications mentioned in BIS IS 8112 (1989). Unless a project requires very high strength cement, the use of OPC 43 Grade Cement is recommended in general civil construction work. It is also extensively used in the manufacture of pre-cast items such as blocks, pipes and tiles.
